Okpatu as a community has cherished western education and this has seen many of our sons and daughters pass through some of our community school in their journey to life greatness. Currently we have a host of Primary and Secondary Schools listed below

Primary Schools:
1. Central School Ikeghe
2. C.P.S. Eziama
3. C.P.S. Amani
4. C.P.S Amachala
5. C.P.S. Amoka
6. Union P.S. Umuene.

Secondary Schools:
1. Community Secondary School Okpatu.
2. Rev. Fr. Gregory Ogbonna comprehensive Secondary School.

One of the cardinal objectives of this assembly is to re-ignite the spirit of learning in our community. This could come in form of mentoring our teeming youths, apprenticeship, conducting training and workshops and collectively and communally attending to the infrastructural and human resource need of the knowledge platforms in the town. Okpatu-ukwedem used to have schools sought after by students from far and wide because of the standard of learning, the story today is different as our wards now spend so much fortune accessing education outside the town because some of the schools that nurtured great men and women in the town has been left to decay or totally dead.

Okpatu-assembly.org.ng through crowdfunding will partner with all stakeholders to embark on community-based projects geared towards building great educational infrastructures and resources in the community. This platform will bring back the good old ways where communal contributions are used to assist highly talented indigent students to succeed.
