Community Development

The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members” – Coretta Scott King

Okpatu-ukwuedem witnessed some rapid development in the pre-90s but lately the town is in gasping need of developmental infrastructure such as schools, good roads, townhalls , industries, etc. Rural electricity was commissioned in Okpatu during the military era in 1986 during the regime of Group Captain Samson Emeka Omeruah who was the then military administrator ( in the then old Anambra state).
We also have a cottage hospital which is located at Obiagu village, in recent time, we have an ultra-modern private hospital, Hope of Christians Hospital and Maternity Okpatu, founded by one of our illustrious sons; Rev.Fr. Samuel Ogwudile.
The only federal government presence in the town, the FADAMA III Project located at Amani village, meant to take care of enhancing agricultural production in the town and its environs is yet to take off 7years after build.

Okpatu-assembly.org.ng will use this platform to galvanize support from all sons and daughters both at home and in diaspora. This platform believes so much in community crowd funding which has proven effective globally in community development.
We will highlight most developmental activities going on in the town and provide means and process for people to contribute towards them.
